The location of Celto–Gaulian Province of Aquitania


§1. Celto–Gaul is divided into four provinces; Aquitania, Lugdunensis, Belgica and Narbonensis.

§2. Therefore Aquitania is bounded thus, to the west by the Aquitanian Sea, and in relation to the outline of the sea coast, after the Ocasso promontory formed by the end of the Pyrenees, the following points are relevant; . Pyreneean Promontory 15° 0˘ 45° 50˘

§3. From the north onwards it is bounded by Lugdudensis along the river until it turns southwards, this point holds the position;

§4. The eastern side is joined to the part Lugdudensis related to the Liger River until its head is reached, at this point it holds the coordinates;

And then part of Narbonensis until the beginning of the Pyrenees in the west, which holds the coordinates;

§5. And on the south side it joins the Pyrenees and part of Narbonensis, that part of Narbonensis from the head of the River Liger until ir reaches the beginning of the Pyrenees in the west, from where to the west relating to the Pyrenees to the Ocasso promontory.

§6. The Pictones occupy the northern part of Aquitania along the side of the river and the sea, their towns are as follows;

§1. That part of Lugdunensis which joins on to the side relating to Aquitania has been described; the remainder, towards the west and the sea, has this kind of outline after the mouth of the Liger River.

Celto–Gaulian Province of Narbonensis

§1. The sides of Narbonensis are joned together with the three other Celto–Galatian provinces, while that of the remainder joining the western edge of the Alps from the Adulas mountains to the mouth of the river Varus, whose location is 27° 30˘ 43° 0˘

§2. The southern side is bounded by part of the Pyrenees, from the province of Aqitania to the summit situated at the sea, where there is a shrine to Aphrodite, and onwards, by the Gallic Sea, until the mouth of the Varus river. The shore has the description thus.
