SUMMARY

The intention of this treatise is to explore any comparison between this Psalm and the narrative from Samuel 1;16 and advance a theory that the actual events as narrated in the latter may have occasioned the poetic text of the former. [NB. This is, in fact, an extended rewrite of an original work on the same theme PSALM 23 & SAMUEL 1:16 - AN LXX COMPARISON Copyright L. Francis: February 1992] To that end the texts of both are extracted and newly translated from the Greek Septuagint texts which in turn are extracted from either the CODEX VATICANUS or the CODEX SINAITICUS.
